Basic Kayak Course in Sardinia
Why?
We organize this Basic Kayak Course for you to learn the fundamentals for your first approach to the fantastic world of Sea Kayaking.
The Basic Kayak Course aims to make the main maneuvers to conduct a kayak in favorable weather conditions. (very little wind and calm sea).
Who is this course for?
This Basic Course is perfect for those who approach sea kayaking for the first time or have very little experience.
Sea kayaking is not rocket science but learning the basics with professionals makes it safer and less tiring. We see everyday kayakers, so-called experts, repeating the same mistakes at every paddle stroke.
Course structure
An instructor of the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation will lead the course which is divided into 4 meetings.
On the first three meetings of 1 h 30 minutes we will go through a little bit of theory and a lot of practicing. The fourth and final meeting of four hours will have the kayak tour excursion formula, to put into practice everything you have learned previously.
Where?
The picturesque bay of Marina Piccola harbour and Poetto beach is the perfect spot for your first paddling!
Preview
You will learn how to safely carry a kayak and get in the water. Then you will learn how to make the kayak do what you want, not to be at the mercy of the elements.
As well as jumping on a kayak, landing on a beach can give us some funny moments. Let’s see together how to do it properly!
We will also teach you how to choose the best conditions for your future excursions. Kayaking in Sardinia can be one of the best experience of your life but only if the weather allow it!
No wetsuit is needed during this Basic Kayak Course, even in winter. We are not dealing with maneuvers where swimming is required.
