Advanced Kayak Course in Sardinia

Why?

The Advanced Kayak Course has the purpose of making known further Sea Kayaking maneuvers. This will allow you to deal with light to moderate wind conditions and consequent wave motion.

Who is this course for?

The Advanced Kayak Course is aimed at those who have attended the Basic Kayak Course or have previous experience.

Course structure

An instructor of the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation will lead the course which is divided into 4 meetings.
On the first three sessions we will go through a little bit of theory and a lot of practicing.

The fourth and final meeting of 4 hours will have the Kayak Tour formula, to put into practice everything you have learned previously.

Where?

The picturesque bay of Marina Piccola harbour and Poetto beach is the perfect spot for our practice!

We find another suitable playground just around the corner. Under the white limestone cliff called “the devil’s saddle”, a labyrinth of boulders is there to let us practice advanced maneuvers. One of sea kayaking strengths is the chance we have to explore the shoreline from a unique point of view. Colors and wildlife there are rich and various but crashing here and there is not what we want!

Thanks to this Advanced Kayak Course you will be able do go out even if the weather is not perfect. The wind can play a big role on directioning the kayak. We have the solution!

In this course we will go through some wet safety group maneuvers, i.e. in the event of capsizing.

What if we end up in the water? Better get back on the kayak isn’t it? Of course, we will see how to do it fast and safely.

Depending on the period, it may be necessary to use a wetsuit (not supplied).
